A graduate of Michigan State University, Darcy began her professional career working in the telecom industry, holding positions in customer service and operations management. In 2009, her path transitioned after accepting a part-time accounting position. This was a great match, as it provided a new challenge, while also allowing her to meet the needs of her family and spend more time with her young children. After working independently for many years, Darcy joined BHT&D in 2022.

Darcy and her husband, Mike, and children (Lauren, Mitchel, and Gage) live in the Lowell area. Outside of work, she is active in her church and enjoys mentoring local youth with their agriculture projects and through efforts with the Kent County Youth Fair.
