Can We File The Michigan Annual Report Or Statement Online?

The State of Michigan has rolled out their new Corporations Online Filing System (COFS).

For Corporations and Limited Liability Companies (LLC), each year filing fee is paid to the State of Michigan - $25.  The State of Michigan will send a pre-printed form (information update) to the business's registered agent. Usually, no updates to the information are necessary.  If this is the case, check the box to indicate that there are no changes, sign and return to the State with the annual fee.  If changes are needed, update the Corporate or Company information, sign and return to the State with the annual fee.

A notice regarding the new corporate online filing system has been mailed to all businesses, giving each business a Customer ID (CID) and PIN, and explaining how the annual filing (information update) may be done on-line through the new Corporations Online Filing System (COFS).  If done this way, the payment of $25 will need to be paid online.  This new system replaces the MICH-ELF filing system.  Online filing is not required at this time. The Company may continue to submit documents and make the payment by mail.
